Weekly Recommendation

I am extremely proud of everyone who turned out for the various protests on Friday in San Francisco, Oakland, and other parts of the Bay Area, especially all the youth. As I saw groups of children waiting to board buses at various intersections with signs in hand, I began to tear up. January was a difficult month, but Friday’s demonstrations gave me lots of hope.

Please support the 150+ businesses that closed Friday in solidarity with the economic blackout on 1/30. Many of these businesses took a financial hit closing that day. Please support them today, tomorrow and beyond as well as the countless other businesses who support our communities year-around, past strikes (in the link above) and through other emergencies like the missing SNAP payments (also in link above). If I missed any, I apologize. Use the contact form above and I will update it as soon as possible.
