How to network in Silicon Valley, how to keep in touch, etiquette, follow up, and meet others Bay Area. Alternatives to networking events San Francisco.
These are rather unconventional methods I have found to meet many people over the years. I hate the term network but I will reference it here for the sake of clarity and understanding.
I only like to network with people. I like to keep in touch with people I can learn from, enjoy spending time with, and/or find engaging.
How To Network In The Bay Area, Best Places To Network San Francisco
If someone starts with a hard pitch, I immediately tune out (at best) or walk away. I can’t stand business jargon, pitches etc. I want to know about someone personally before we even discuss what they do for work.
Below are some tips around conversations, exchanging contact info, reaching out to people blindly, offline/online opportunities, where to meet people outside of stiff/forced networking events and more.
