Where To Find Investors Silicon Valley, San Francisco
Bay Area Startup Meetups, Founder Events, Tech Events This Week
With many looming layoffs at big tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, fears of AI companies replacing jobs around the city, many folks are scrambling to network whether to find their new job or to get funding for their latest company.
Finding investors can be tough as the number of events they attend has gone down since pre-covid as many rely on online intros, private events and internal networks for most of their deal-sourcing. That said, there are lots of opportunities to meet investors, founders and more but you will have to be creative, flexible and persisent as opportunities are limited.
I’ve already had several inquiries from VC’s to remove some locations, areas listed below to minimize being interrupted in their day-to-day lives.
Check out my weekly email newsletter, which occasionally contains SF tech events, Bay Area startup events, and Silicon Valley networking events during the week. Over 25,000 subscribers and counting - are you next? More events in the monthly calendars for paid supporters only (These events are usually more intimate, one-off events that you likely won’t find on most sites, newsletters, social media posts etc.).
Folks who have signed up for Eddie’s List include: tier 1 vc’s, Stanford Deans, at least 1 FAANG CEO, founders, tech leaders and engineers desperately trying to hack modern dating through apps, AI and more.

Like everything in life, recommendations require context. If you go to the places below, you will not find a founder, vc or entrepreneur every time, at all times of the day.
Unless someone is new in town, just starting out, or looking to actively network, these folks won’t be easy to spot. Most people don’t wear their branded company vest/zip up fleece all over town. Most attend private events that most people overlook like galas, fundraisers and more while others avoid traditional networking events and spend time at cafes, bars and social activities.

Where To Meet Founders, Entrepreneurs; VC’s Bay Area
I have worked remotely in between photo shoots and coaching sessions with clients for over 10 years.
I maintain a privately held spreadsheet with cafes, hotels, and other places to work remotely with wi-fi info, outlet information, and notes on space, ambiance etc. It took years to build and maintain but in doing so, I took notes about who was showing up to these places.
Below are some places that, over time, you would start to run into folks. Beyond just location, you need to be presentable, learn how to read people, have basic social skills, practice good hygiene, and more. This should be understood, but here we are because these things are still overlooked by many of you.
