Are San Francisco Tech Week Events Open To The Public?
Some events will be open to the public, some will be invite-only while others will require one to apply and wait to see if they are accepted (usually limited to founders, industry-specific professionals, investors, immigrants, portfolio companies, members of spaces and entities etc).

As you can see, it hasn’t dropped but once it does, a lot of events will likely fill up asap. Similarly, their welcome email quoted a cut-off date of August 22nd to submit events to their calendar. If that is the case, it’s unclear whether events submitted after will be included in their official calendars. If you know event organizers, some events come together last minute (even awesome ones) but don’t worry, I will update my recommendations and research last-minute additions in my recommendations.

There will be many events during the week, some will be a waste of time, others will be interesting some will sell out asap. For the full list of events, check out the official event calendar on the official site.
