SF GDC Conference Event Recommendations
There are hundreds of events happening during GDC Conference beyond the walls of the Moscone Center. Some of them will fill up, but many people will be overwhelmed with too many options. Luckily for you, I have curated a list of the best events to check out below.

What Is The Game Developer Conference San Francisco?
It’s an annual conference marked by excessive lanyard use, occasional sword (or other toy) carrying, married men flooding Bumble app in San Francisco, one time of the year male to female gender exceeds that of Man Jose, with occasional talks at Moscone and networking events throughout the city (bars, coworking spaces and restaurants).
Seriously though, it’d going to be crowded from Union Square, Yerba Buena Gardens, FiDi and outskirts of Jackson Square, Chinatown, and the Embarcadero. Expect Uber, Lyft & Waymo’s to skyrocket in price and be sure to budget extra time for delays. Many bars and restaurants will be bought out so double check before venturing out anywhere in/around downtown.
The best thing about GDC is that there are lots of fun events, even ones open to the public (no pass needed). These are a great way to network, meet people in the industry and check out some cool venues in San Francisco.

Some of the events may sell out before you find out about them so hurry up before it’s too late and you get stuck at a lame happy hour event at your hotel or third-tier VC office.
Also, this is not a directory of events. It’s a curated list of events, parties, and more to help you be more efficient when planning your time during the conference.
