Dating In The San Francisco Bay Area
With the rise of dating apps, tech jobs, WFH opportunities and people having less time for social activities, there has been a growing demand for dating coaches across the world.
Many people have become frustrated with dating apps, have seen their friend circles shrink, spend more time at work/home and have regressed socially during the pandemic to the point where they struggle to have basic spontaneous interactions with strangers at bars, events, cafes, and more.
The San Francisco Bay Area has experienced this probably more than any other place given tech culture, rising costs of living, amount of people who WFH and being a hub for some of the dating apps described above (Craigslist, CMB, The League, Yahoo Personals, Match.com).
These factors have led to introverts flooding the area and resulted in more socially awkward environments, less chit-chat, more screen time, more headphones in and a shift from public transportation, public laundromats and waiting in line to private cabs, laundry services and ordering ahead. These changes while seemingly saving time have often lead to untintended consequence of less human interaction. People can even order cabs with complete silence to avoid talking to drivers.
Obviously not everyone is like this but as the cost of living increases, creatives are forced out, they are being replaced by zombies who are often seen as leeches taking from the city without giving much back. Laptops and headphones have flooded cafes all over the city. People are seeking silent bookclubs, silent discos at record levels.
There is nothing wrong with doing things alone, in fact, I highly recommend people get a little uncomfortable and dine alone, go to a bar solo every now and then to meet strangers more often.

Dating Coaches For Men San Francisco Bay Area
Dating coaches for men in the Bay Area are plenty, many focus on harnessing alpha characteristics and borderline red pill strategies to meet women. Yes, dating can be brutal for men but it’s often self-sabotage: using apps too much, unrealistic expectations (thinking career/money/looks is enough to make up for a poor personality) or it can be something more common and unassuming like lack of effort, lack of friends, targeting the wrong women, dealing with anxiety, ignoring things like vibe, hobbies, personality and hygiene.
Sure, I will be the first to say that a lot of men struggle with more “masculine” things like confidence, decisiveness, taking the lead, making the first move but for many men here, it feels like an all or nothing dilemma where many struggle with balance, nuance.
Most coaches here focus on one area: apps, wardrobe, messaging, hygiene etc but few look at the entire person to see what is going on. Overly fixating on one item ignores and discounts others areas of one’s life which hurts dating chances as all these things are just as important, if not more.
Most coaches who target men are women who are attractive, young, bubbly and confident. They likely have never struggled with dating, have no problem being approached or have the luxury of going on many dates just to experiment. It’s rare for a dating coach to know what it’s like dating as an introvert, BIPOC, or analytical person (but they do exist). Coaches like myself don’t limit themselves to providing guidance and recommendations across multiple outlets (dating events, apps, social activities, social clubs, classes, volunteering, matchmaking and more).

Dating Coach For Women San Francisco Bay Area
While most men struggle with top of the funnel issues (likes, matches, first dates, second dates), a lot of women have a different problem: screening profiles, reading people, cutting off time-wasters, dealing with liars and more.
It’s tough meeting men even if you have lots of friends if all your time is spent at work, yoga, book clubs, booths at restaurants with friends, wine bars filled with women and silent retreats. I am not saying you have to go to breweries, take krav maga classes or go to hackathons but slight changes in where you sit, who you go with, when you go, how you stand/sit, how present you are can dramatically invite more men to approach you.
If getting men to approach you is not an issue then perhaps the issue faced is having the wrong men approach you, having men not ready for relationships, marriage and kids and continually focusing on men who don't know what they want, change their minds or even lie. There are ways to reduce these things from happening but nothing is perfect, there will be guy slipping through the cracks trying to bypass your guard, loveboming their way past defenses and vague promises about the future that are likely never to come true.
The dating coach industry can be daunting. There is no certification, some coaches force you to sign contracts, join bootcamps and sign NDA’s. If that is what you want, that’s fine, there are lots of options. If you go this route, look up reviews on Reddit, Yelp, and if no business listing exists, beware! Even if a coach has good reviews, read them carefully - are they from mostly conventionally young and attractive people? are the reviews super vague from accounts with no other reviews? did the person not pay the coach (is a friend, attended an event for free)?
A lot of the strategies and techniques I use involve some difficult conversations, some uncomfortable situations, setting (and maintaining) boundaries, being willing to end relationships and start over as well as learning to prioritize yourself and stop worrying about hurting others.
My dating services are a little unorthodox but always personable, customized and focused around your strengths while nudging you to work on weaknesses, blindspots and optimizing missed opportunities in your day-to-day life. I am not a motivational speaker but I am practical, have been doing this for over 12 years and have likely helped out someone you know, trust and look up to.
