Best Pizza San Francisco Bay Area
While New York and Chicago get all the praise for pizza, as they should, the Bay Area is having a pizza moment right now with lots of incredible places surfacing offering a range of styles from Detroit style, tavern, Neopolitan and New York.
One of my favorite places for pizza is OG Roberta’s in Bushwick, but I am agnostic when it comes to pizza styles so you will see a range below of places across the Bay Area. Sadly one of my favorite pizzas Del Popolo is closing tomorrow (May 8)
For a long time, the Bay Area put up with mediocre pizza from corporate & private equity owned places and lacked crowds (and turnover) to make slices worth it but these days, as prices for food has skyrockted, people are resorting to takeout, grab & go and quick bites more than ever.
Similarly, famous institutions have launched spin-outs creating their own businesses or opened new locations across the Bay Area to harness the momentum that their flagship locations have created.
