Bay Area Library Free Services: Printing, Notary & More
Libraries are an incredible service for communities. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, they offer endless services, tools, events, book clubs, 3d printers, playgrounds, exhibits, chess classes, luchador events and more. Where else can you access NYT, mobile hotspots, paella pans, hiking sticks, solar charges and more?
There are too many to list and each county and branch is constantly updating inventory but hopefully this and other related guides below pique your interest to do more research to see what else you can uncover at your local library branch.
Lastly, the amazing offerings are too many too list here; I recommend signing up for their email lists as they provide wonderful, succinct updates, events and more. If you have questions, email the specific county or branch, don’t send dm’s on social media, don’t rely on outdated Reddit posts.

Attention San Francisco Bay Area Library Patrons
Events, equipment and services come and go. If you like an event, be sure to let others know, provide feedback to the librarian (ideally via email for record keeping - there is contact info on event pages, search results). My goal is not to replace libary event sites - you should always defer to them for the latest updates but I do aim to highlight incredible offerings here and there to motivate others to become more acquainted with services at their local branches.

Up to $2/day: $0.05 black & white copies or $0.40 color copies

Up to $5 per day; $0.25/page (black & white); $0.50/page (color).
Free Printing Napa County Library
$1/day; $0.10/page black and white; $0.50/page color
Free Printing Marin County Library
Library & Internet Only cardholders: $10.50 worth of free prints per week.
Max: 70 black & white prints per week, or 10 color prints per week.
Marin City Library has a 3D printer available for public use by appointment.
