Of all the bands I have seen in my life, I have seen Louie Romero y su Mazacote the most. From the tiny corner of Cigar Bar with servers passing through the area to legendary Sunday afternoons at Jelly’s and everywhere in between. His high-tempo salsa dura style gave everyone on the dance floor a great workout; his legacy spans the Fania days with Willie Colón to working with many of the incredible band leaders & musicians we have today from all over the Bay Area and beyond.
