Weekly Recommendation

This week’s recommendation is to support anyone of these businesses and restaurants who have graciously donated time, money, labor and more to feed folks in need. You have stepped when margins are known to be razor thin, at best. Thank you. If I missed any, please let me know through the contact form above. There is a post on Instagram with said restaurants (give them a like, re-post their content - let others know about how they are stepping up during this time). I included some venmo accounts to donate to businesses directly as well.

Please support your local food bank. Nervous about going solo? Send me a note, when & where through the contact form above and I will see if I can join you. In the last 30 days, traffic to SF-Marin food locator increased by 205%.

There is a lot of back and forth and conflicting information about food banks, SNAP lately. With ongoing deliberation & recent developments, there is a lot of strain, confusion, frustration, and concern about immediate and long-term access to food. Please donate money, time or food to your local food bank. Some people have been getting creative and converting little free libraries into little free pantries.

***IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ!***

It’s been over 3 years since I launched this newsletter, and I am thankful for everyone who has told someone about this newsletter, mentioned it on Reddit, referred friends on the platform, hit the like button, shared my Instagram posts, alerted me of edits on guides, suggested fun, quirky events to put in the weekly email or have expressed gratitude via messaging or in person - it’s very much appreciated and a major reason why I continue to do this.

Starting today, I am going to be giving out some fun prizes to those who have been helping me out and supporting me. You may see your (substack) account upgraded to a 1-year subscription to Eddie’s List, you might see a DM from me on Reddit so I can get your email and upgrade your account, you might join me for a coffee and be introduced to my favorite place to read/write (not posted anywhere on Eddie’s List), you may join me for a beer or drink and receive a free dating profile critique, perhaps we’ll check out my favorite pop-up or maybe you get personalized recs on some of the most convenient bathrooms around town or where to meet singles based on your demographics, lifestyle, schedule and more.

One of you will be my guest to see Aziz Ansari tomorrow at the Punchline (tickets I paid for myself, I don’t accept gifts nor comps to list items on my newsletter). This first prize will go to one of my paid supporters.

Some future prizes will be given out regardless of subscriber status, while some will be for paid supporters only. Be sure to check your emails and DM’s on social media.
