Best Happy Hour East Bay, Alameda County, Oakland, Berkeley & More
Dining and drinking in the Bay Area is expensive. Thanks to supply issues, wage increases, rising cost of living and inflation, prices for bars and restaurants are at an all-time high.
This happy hour list for the East Bay is mainly focused on Oakland, some places for Berkeley, and a couple other locations like Alameda, Emeryville, Livermore, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek & Concord. I assembled this list for you by researching menus, calling establishments, and verifying offerings.
The list of 23+ restaurants/bars food, wine, beer, cocktails and more. It is meant to focus on meaningful discounts and offers rather than just $1 off items for a more curated set of offerings.
For example, some places may offer beer during happy hour but I didnt’ mark it as such because the price doesn’t reflect that necessarily.
Similarly, if a place is not marked, it doesn’t mean they don’t offer said items at all, it just means the happy hour discount is not as good as other items reference.
Each place will have city, days/hours and a marking for each category:
W - Wine
B - Beer
C - Cocktail
F - Food
I mostly focus on places that have good ratings across various platforms - I am not going to recommend oyster happy hour at a place with 3.3. stars out of 5. Similarly, I focus on independent establishments so if you are looking for chain restaurants, look elsewhere.
