Weekly Recommendation

This week’s recommendation is to donate to your local food bank. The government cuts to SNAP benefit program will impact many across the state and beyond. Food banks have great buying power to maximize reach for donations made. Please ask your employer about any donation matching as well. You can also donate to or volunteer as various food bank/pantry locations. The Food Runners site is a great resource to learn about donating food.

If there is any group, or organization doing some amazing things, please let me know asap. Please forward this email to anyone you think who can help. Every bit counts (even just forwarding this newsletter to a colleague, friend or neighbor helps to get the word out on this urgent matter).

For those looking to help immigrants and support organizations assisting them, check out this guide. People are offering to help out with adopt a corner programs, school monitoring programs for those worried about their kids, food resources for those who are concerned over safety going to work, monitors for court cases and more.

One more thing, please get your ballots in!
