Weekly Recommendation

Initially, this week’s recommendation was to contact Mayor Lurie to help find a new sponsor or private funding for the Fillmore Street Festival that was recently postponed to 2026 but that quickly changed as it was announced it’s back on! (see article below).

Instead, I’m asking you to support the Women’s Building in San Francisco (Mission District, across from Good Good Culture Club on 18th b/t Valencia & Guerrero). It recently had to lay off several f/t employees because of funding cuts and it desperately seeking:

  • individual volunteers (food pantry, computer lab tech, bilingual job advancement help & more)

  • corporate volunteers (food pantry, donation drive & create care kits)

  • donations to sustain the amazing work they do.

See the full archived weekly recommendations here.
